077 - Meet Jodi 👋
Meet Jodi Simpson 👋
We’re excited to make some introductions this year and couldn’t think of a better person to start with than localist Jodi Simpson.
If you don’t know Jodi yourself—chances are someone you know does (she’s basically the Kevin Bacon of London). When not helping new Londoner’s get settled or selling homes she’s likely at one or two (or three!) events around town making connections and championing this city.
Q: What’s one of London’s best-kept secrets? 🤫
A: It's no secret, but I feel like the Thames Valley Parkway is one of our most underappreciated assets. The slower you move through a city the more you really learn to appreciate its beauty and history—and the TVP is the perfect place to luxuriate in the beauty and spirit of this city.
Q: What’s your favourite way to spend a Saturday in London? ❤️
A: As local thrift-shop connoisseur, you're more likely to find me at Style 360 than just about anywhere else on the weekend.
Q: Tell us about the last London thing you recommended to friends. 🗣️
A: Plant Matter Kitchen is always near the top of my recommendation list for places to eat. I had no idea how delicious food could be until my partner and I had lunch there a few years ago, now it's our go-to restaurant for a date-night.
Q: What are you looking forward to in London this year? 🗓️
A: I'm looking forward to seeing Dundas Place come to life and to see a surge of new energy and festivals for our downtown.
Q: Who should Lononders be paying attention to? 🔍
A: I’m biased here as I am involved with their governance structure, however I think Londoners should be paying attention to Libro Credit Union. From opening a branch in Old East Village after a long-standing bank closed its doors, to becoming one of London's first living wage employers and achieving their Certified B Corporation®, they are fully invested in making our community better and more prosperous. They are a shining example of the best of what London businesses can be.
