212 - National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🟧
With the third annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation taking place this Saturday, September 30, there’s lots of opportunity around town to honour Survivors of Residential Schools and remember those who never made it home. Here’s just a few ways to take part…
Wear an Orange Shirt 🟧
Orange Shirt Day continues to be an important way to show solidarity and support. If you don’t have one yet, there’s still time:
DoughEV has teamed up with Rezonance to have their shirt (in Memory of Shaun Hedican) available at the shop today/tomorrow until 5pm. Walk-ins are welcome at Rezonance today/tomorrow until 5pm, too!
Museum London has re-stocked Mikaila Stevens’ Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow shirt.
Atlosha is offering this year’s shirt by Stephen Maracle at pop-ups Friday and Saturday at the Western Fair Agriplex.

Note: The artwork accompanying today’s newsletter features artwork from the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation’s Survivors’ Flag. Created in consultation with Survivors from across the country, it flies to “honour residential school Survivors and all the lives and communities impacted by the residential school system in Canada.” To learn more about each element of the flag’s design 👉 visit their online exhibit here.
