201 - International Plant Appreciation Day 🌱
Last week, we put out a call for your favourite plants…and nobody answered. 😢
All good: we’ve got the next best thing—a new list featuring five easy ways to celebrate International Plant Appreciation Day! 🥰
1. Buy some plants for the house! 💐
London’s got a lot of great florists, but we’re using today’s list to give a shout-out to Grow and Bloom Co. who’ve recently moved the full operation back to their shop on Richmond while roadwork in OEV is taking place.

2. Buy some plants for the yard! 🌱
“London’s favourite greenhouse” is actually in Thorndale, but we’ll let that slide for Heeman’s. They’re celebrating 60 years in business this May and may as well be within the city limits for all the locals who frequent the place! 🗺

3. Eat some plants! 🥗
London’s got a growing number of vegetarian restaurants to enjoy, but Udupi Dosa first caught our attention after revamping their kitchen to offer a bigger menu soon after opening in 2021! 🥞

4. Tend some plants! ♠️
Ever wanted to work on an urban farm? Check out the volunteer opportunities at Urban Roots—a local non-profit taking advantage of underutilized land in the city to bring fresh, organic produce to market and the wider community! 🌾

5. Plant some plants! 🌳
Turns out we’re past the half-way mark in ReForest London’s Million Tree Challenge. How many of the next half-million trees will you have a hand in planting?!?! 🌲
