163 - Our London Family 💚💜
As we approach the first anniversary of the terrorist attack which killed four members of a local Muslim family and left another injured, the city has dedicated a page on their website to listing a number of vigils, events and resources to help Londoners mark and mourn the day (and beyond).
From reading lists, through commemorative gardens, to marches and municipal action plans, there’s a lot to take part in. Here’s two particular events we’re expecting the community to really come together through.
Our London Family March
Speeches at Oakridge Secondary School begin at 1:30pm before the community marches west along Oxford St. to the London Muslim Mosque. Presented by the Youth Coalition Combating Islamophobia, the event is run by—and focused on—Muslim youth, but open to all and expecting similar numbers to the thousands who showed up for last year’s interfaith march.
