147 - Retro Trio š„
With Downtown Londonās Festival of Markets going retro for this weekendās āA Very Vintage Xmasā down on Dundas place, we figured the timing was perfect for a list dedicated to three of our favourite vintage items from Londonās past...
The Novackās Bag š
Sure, they sold all manner of surplus gear and had a sweet Travel Book Store upstairs, but it was their canvas bag with itās signature round yellow patch on the front that really solidified the Novackās brand around town.
š Rumor has it thereās going to be a few of these bags available this weekend at the aforementioned Festival of Marketsā A Very Vintage Xmas!
A Grubwear Shirt š
Whether it was the original Tri-G logo, or the infamous āSLURPā shirt, Grubwear had a good run here in town before designer/owner Mike Jackson took the brand west in ā96 to Vancouver (where itās still going strong).Ā
Kettle Creek Canvas Co.ās Pencil Case āļø
Technically, these sturdy pencil cases were made in Port Stanley, but that didnāt stop hundreds of London students from making them the de facto way to keep our Laurentian pencil crayons organized.
