086 - Under Wraps 🤫
If there’s one criticism of London(ers) we can agree with, it’s this: we keep too much good stuff under "wraps." So we’re dedicating this week’s list to five of our favourite London treats wrapped in dough, pastry, pork-products, etc.
Miso Sushi 🐖
The sushi rolls are good (and an obvious choice for this list), but it’s the pork gyoza at Miso Sushi that deserve your attention.
The Early Bird 🥓
Sure, this downtown eatery has made a name for itself beyond London’s borders, but the fried pickles WRAPPED IN BACON don’t get nearly the love we believe they should.
So Inviting 🥟
...is easily the most inviting Chinese bakery in town. This not-so-secret London treasure has become known for their dumplings and pot stickers. Add this to your list on your next visit to the Market.
Shelby’s Food Express 🌯
Deep inside Shelby’s traditional chicken shawarma you’ll find a couple of crispy, french-fried potatoes—and you will love it. Trust us.
Pierogi Queen 👑
When you’re so sure of something, you become royalty. The Pierogi Queen certainly lives up to her name. We can’t wait to visit this food truck again when the weather turns!
BONUS!!
Shad’s Raps 🧢
It’s too hard to pick our favourite album, so here’s a nearly-7-minute-long freestyle from back in the day.
