London’s artist’s have been inspiring this city through for years, but during the 50’s especially, we were the hotbed of a growing exploration of the link between art and “home”. In the spirit of those Regionalists, here’s just a few ways to experience art you won’t find anywhere else.
🌪️ Art As Weather
Offering an “artistic response to tornado evidence” Artlab’s current exhibition “Please—Do Not Take this Lightly” is an exciting spin-off of a growing partnership between the university’s artists and engineers. Check our their symposium and exhibition tour, “Taking it Seriously: Art, the Environment, Tornadoes”, this Saturday January 19th at 1pm to learn more.
🚸 Art as Education
Who says the arts are impractical? Check out how Culture City Youth is introducing students to “city-building, civic engagement, and citizenship through the frame of arts” with their immersive week-long program (including medicine walks led by local indigenous artists and daily photo challenges exploring the city’s core).
🤔 Art As it Relates to Life, London and Leadership

⛅ Art as a Lazy Sunday Afternoon
Museum London’s a great place to visit any time or day, but if you swing by on Sunday’s at 2pm you’ll be treated to free tours from museum staff. Current exhibitions include The Art of Music and… hair.

London’s artist’s throw open the doors to their studios every spring for the annual London Studio Artist Tour. This year, the event runs April 26-28—so mark your calendars now!
