049 - New for 2018 đ
Our little town keeps growing up, and each passing day brings the launch of a new business, venture or experience for denizens of the Forest City to enjoy. 2018âs been no exception and here are some of our favourites!
đœ Food and Beverage
Launching a new eatery can be a stressful and risky venture, but weâre hoping that the these new locations are around for years to come. Adding to Londonâs burgenning coffee scene, Commonwealthâs rotating roasters will give you reason to keep visiting. Readers know we love , so itâs no surprise weâre excited to welcome Pizzeria Madre to Wellington St. Need to reset with a few healthy bites? The OEV has always offered great options and Margo & Tuffy is yet another one!
đ Shops
While London sprawls and super-centres add thousands of square footage to the edges of town, Londonâs core continues to host some truly imaginative new businesses. Floral Theoryâs selection of house plants and greenery will keep your abode fashionable all winter long. Part community hub, educational resource and store, the team at Reimagine Waste will help guide you to a more sustainable lifestyle. When you want to know where youâll be shopping next year, drop by and visit the new small business incubator at Bakerâs Dozen.
đȘ Experiences
2018 was a great year to get out of the house and discover the city and some of the awesome people making our community great. If making new friends and getting to the beach was something you wished you could do more often, then we hope you checked out the Bend Bus. Now that winterâs here and weâre looking for more indoor fun, The Factory will keep you busy for hours. Or take a Sunday to flex your creative muscles down the Art Hive.
đ„ Re-hatched
Theyâve kept the bowling, pool and cheap wing nights and also added an escape room to the renovated Palasad North. After two years of construction, Fanshawe welcomed it first class to its latest downtown campus and breathed new life into the historic Kingsmillâs building. Students arenât the only new addition to the core now that Museum Londonâs Centre at the Forks has opened the building to sweeping views of the river.
