046 - Wings 🍗
Whether you like it hot, dry, spicy, mild, deep-fried or baked: London’s got its fair share of chicken wings on offer. While some wings may taste better than others, we all know their real draw is the excuse they give us to gather with friends. So with a night out in mind: here’s some of our favourite places to enjoy some “drummies and flats."
😮 Milo’s
With flavours that constantly change—you never know what you’re gonna get when swinging by Milo’s for wings….save that they’re always tasty, and there’s more than a few good local craft beers to pair them with! For those of us of the vegan/vegetarian persuasion: there’s often a good [cauliflower] “version” of wings on their menu to enjoy as well!.
🚚 Loose Rooster
Worth it for the name alone, Loose Rooster’s recent “all you can eat” wing special tipped the scales for us (literally). They’ve also got a truck that’s been known to pull up at breweries around town—so keep your eyes open for wings on-the-go!
🎳 Palasad
Like a little 10-pin LASER BOWLING (!!!) with your half-price wings on a Wednesday? Palasad’s got you covered.Their south London location also offers laser-tag, laser ping-pong, a laser-arcade and laser lasers.
🙃Fitzray’s
Holding down the west end of Dundas St., Fitzray’s manages to offer an eclectic mix of live music (covering everything from rockabilly to metal) alongside enough TVs to keep sports fans up-to-date. We don’t know anywhere else where the jocks and band-kids get along so well... which leads us to presume it’s something in their wings.
✌️In Memoriam
Sharing a kitchen, McGinnis Landing and The Oar House offered two very different environments to enjoy the tastiest of wings—with McGinnis “all business” in the front and The Oar House “all party” in the back. Together, this mullet-of-a-duo served west London for 20+ years before closing down this past fall. We’ll miss ‘em both!
