045 - Coffee Escapades #2 ☕ ☕
Earlier this year, we highlighted some of our . While the list was a great introduction to London’s coffee scene, we felt like it was time for a follow-up. So here’s a few more ways to experience the caffeinated-goodness that our city has to offer!
🧔 Patrick’s Beans
Local coffee roaster, Patrick Dunham, has been roasting beans in this town for years. His coffee has become a staple in local households, restaurants, breweries, and cafes alike. Since 1% of all his roasted beans are donated to local non-profits, emergency shelters, and food aid programs, buying coffee from Patrick is one way to stir up good things throughout our city.
⬜ Commonwealth Coffee Co.
New to Richmond Row, Commonwealth provides locals with a bright, open space, a brilliant selection of take-away whole beans (including Phil & Sebastian and 49th Parallel), and the smooth taste of nitro coffee—which tastes like the lovechild of Guinness® and coffee. Need we say more?
🇪🇷 Asmara Caffee
Founded back in August 2012, this Old East Village staple is known for its on-site coffee roasting and its commitment to organic, fair trade Ethiopian coffee beans. Drop by for a cup of joe, a pastry, and their fava beans dish (paired with samosas).
😎 Bonus!
Sure, you can visit Edgar & Joes for the coffee, but it’s totally worth sticking around for the breakfast, too. Who says that drinking coffee and eating bacon and eggs can’t have a positive impact on our community?!
