006 - Valentine's Day ❤️
Valentine’s Day
Here’s a list of unique London experiences to enjoy this Valentine’s day. Whether you celebrate the Holiday®, or you refuse to buy into the hype, there’s something here for the romantic in all of us. #LdnLocalistValentines
📽️ Catch a flick at the Hyland Cinema
London’s historic cinema is the perfect atmosphere to cozy up to the one you love, to impress a first-date, or to simply escape the day and enjoy the best that the silver-screen has to offer. Take your pick between the movies that are lined up for this week.
🍫 Do the Fondue at Forrats
This one’s for anybody with a sweet-tooth...or an apology to make. You simply can’t go wrong with FOOD DIPPED IN CHOCOLATE! You’ll want to make reservations ahead of time. As for what you should order, we suggest the Fusion Tray for it’s balance of sweet and salty.
Bonus Tip: For those of you observing Lent, you may want to get this date in before Wednesday’s fast begins.
👯 Bring some friends to TG’s Addis Ababa
Double-down for a double-date at this Ethiopian eatery where sharing your meal from a ‘common plate’ is the only way to go. Roll up your sleeves and loosen your belts because you’re in for a treat.
🍝 Spageddy Eddy's
Recreate everybody’s favourite scene from Lady and the Tramp on the cheap at one of London’s most uniquely intimate purveyors of italian fare. With an entrance hidden down a dark alley, and a dimly lit interior, it’s also the perfect place to get away from the crowds and suss out a first date.
⛸️ Get sweaty with the one you love
Lights, music, and seniors lapping you on the track. Where else can you fall and make a fool of yourself easier than while roller skating (!) at the North London Optimist Community Centre? Or, if you’re looking for an outdoor opportunity for your date to pick you up off the ground, spend some time holding hands while navigating the Storybook Skate Trail which invites the bonus experience to ‘warm up’ with your loved one afterward.
📺 Stay In
Cable 13 and chill.
