001 - Hits and Misses: 2017 Edition 🎯
There were many great, authentically London, experiences from 2017 that we’ll miss as the calendar year turns over, and there are a few hits that’ll reverberate in the year to come. We offer this year-in-review list as we celebrate what was, mourn what wasn’t, and look ahead to a fresh year full of new experiences.
 Hit: Ritual Café
Born from the ashes of Kantina and the Black George before it, Ritual Café offered a community café atmosphere not found elsewhere in the city. Sociable staff, a soundtrack any hipster could live their life to, and an overall vibe that had the power to make locals forget they were in their hometown, Ritual was, in many ways, a home-away-from-home.

Miss: BRT Tunnel
In the spirit of keeping London boring, we missed the opportunity to eschew waiting for the Richmond Street train as we travel from point A-to-B. Alas, sometimes the best ideas are never meant to be. This miss will certainly pave the way for many more interesting experiences to come.

Hit: Fright Night at Museum London
A mainstay of the Halloween season’s social scene, Fright Night at Museum London was the place where London’s up-and-coming creative class could be found donning the most thoughtful and imaginative costumes in town. After a lengthy run, 2017 brought a quiet All Hallows' Eve to Museum London as the event was laid to RIP.

Hit: Jenna Faye Powell
As the smiling face that was the cornerstone of the Forest City Gallery community for many recent years, Jenna Faye Powell packed her bags and headed to The Six this past year. While #ldnont will be losing Jenna’s creative talents, razor sharp wit, and enthusiasm for miniatures, we’ll be gaining new insights and perspectives as we welcome the new FCG Director, Matthew Kyba, into the local community with open arms.
